Sue Staats: Funniest Woman On the Planet and a True Friend

Would your friend forge a letter from the Writers Chronicle for you? Hmmm?

Dear Mr. Udall:

We will be publishing Nancy Stebbins’ dazzlingly brilliant essay in our May/June issue. She indicates that she has been studying with you, and we are contacting you in the hopes that you will have a few publishable words to say about working with this outstanding, up-and-coming writer. We have to say, we are a little jealous that you have the privilege of collaborating with Ms. Stebbins. In your remarks, we would appreciate it if you commented on some of the more amazing qualities of this essay. We do not want to hear about anything that sucked.

Yours very truly,

The Editors, Writer’s Chronicle
